Well, I was going for an ideological view but if you wanna get technical. Yes there are instances, where the side suffering more casualties wins, such as Vietnam. (US40.000-NVA120.000) And economics do not necessarily suffer from war nowadays. The more weapons purchased, more companies make money, more people are employed, more money circulates, of course it is a very delicate balance. Yet, how does one determine that the war has been won. Asymmetric warfare is different from conventional.

Lost less people? There are lots of war ther the part that have lost most souls still wins. There are alot more factors that determen the outcom then just peoples lifes. Just to mention one Ecomics, even tho you have more people to send to there death you probly need money to send them
