While vacationing in Hawaii, there was a bird hanging around our hotel similar to this, it would take the bread we threw at it, walk over to the pond, and dangled it in the water. As soon as a fish came to nibble, it gulped him up, and came back to us for more bread. Coolest thing I saw in Hawaii,lol

@JustKaafir Well, crows and parrots are similar and more complex behavior, and intelligence (I'm not expecting this behavior in herons, but fascinating), and the evolution of intelligence is very well explained, not all fit on Darwin, modern scientists have long studied the intelligence, you know, the evolution of the brain and its complexity, and learning abilities.

this proves Darwin was not 100% correct. how come no other birds have "evolved" to learn this behavior? This bird has it in her/his gene to do this and evolution can never teach you such a thing.

What kind of bird, anyone know? 

Animals are more intelligent than people assume or expected - in my opinion they are higher beings than us, because they live in harmony with nature, unlike humans.

@Guayabero1977 Actually they already can! The New Caledonian Crow can create different tools out of a variety of materials. No joke.
